Utica First Insurance Company is currently seeking an Infrastructure Analyst within our Information Technology department.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the IT implementation team and assist with efforts to build and deploy a new policy administrations system.
The Infrastructure Analyst primary responsibility will be in maintaining, securing, monitoring, and automating Utica First's cloud environment (AWS & Azure) that will host core business applications.
Responsibilities will include creation, monitoring, backups, and updates of Linux servers, application servers, and Oracle RDS databases.
Major
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain cloud environment integrated with on premises environment.
Install, configure, monitor, backup, update, and administer AWS & Azure environment, including networking, Linux and Windows servers, and applications / application servers.
Use scripting (bash, PowerShell, etc.
) to promote automation.
Maintain production, test, and development application environments using DevOps principles.
Administer Oracle RDS and SQL Server databases.
Help develop and maintain IT best practices, standards, and procedures.
Work closely and effectively with other team members to bring value to the company.
Preferred Knowledge and
Experience:
Network experience Linux and Windows experience DevOps, environment automation, and scripting API management Oracle and SQL Server database administration Application server administration (e.
g.
, JBoss) Monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery Education & Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Strong Analytical skills to solve problems.
Willingness to learn.
Proven track record of learning new technologies and acquiring new skills independently.
Must be enthusiastic about new technologies, automation, and business enablement.
